The casing
A round clock suspended from a ring that is decorated with a bow. The curved ormolu bronze casing is framed with a beaded edge and decorated with leafs and flowersprigs. At the base crossed olive branches representing the wisdom of Minerva. At the top crossed branches of oak, as symbol of the power of Jupiter. The flowering lilies represent purity.
The dial shows the hours in Roman numerals, the minutes in Arabic numerals. Ormolu openwork hands.
The clockwork
Anchor escapement. Locking plate striking clock, strikes the hours on the hour and once every half hour.
